Challenge
The starting point.
Galderma India's finance team wanted to move from occasional AI use to practical, governed workflows. Work included tax litigation support, reporting from multiple data sources, recurring email-based processes and analysis in Excel, all within a regulated pharmaceutical business with strict rules on data.
Approach
How the engagement was structured.
- Ran a pre-programme survey to capture each participant's role, routine work and the problem they wanted AI to solve.
- Day 1: AI for web and deep research, AI in tax litigation, building single-file HTML tools with AI, and Excel VBA automation.
- Day 2: Copilot agents, NotebookLM for document research, Gamma and Napkin for presentations and visuals, Copilot in Excel, and Outlook mail automation.
- Provided post-read material on AI risk and regulation, including India's DPDP Act, the EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001 and the NIST AI framework, and a local redaction tool so sensitive data is masked before use.
Outcome
What changed.
- 32 finance professionals completed the programme and were certified.
- The team gained repeatable workflows for research, tax litigation preparation, Excel automation and reporting.
- Data-handling rules and a redaction step were built into the way the team uses AI.
